“Some will, some won’t. So what?! Someone’s waiting! Next!” This phrase, my friends, is the mantra of a successful entrepreneur. It’s a mindset that separates the wheat from the chaff in the world of business. It’s the spirit of resilience that fuels the engine of success.
In the entrepreneurial journey, rejection is as inevitable as the sunrise. It’s a part of the process, a stepping stone on the path to success. When you present an idea or a business proposition, like Wealthy Affiliate, you’re bound to face rejection. Out of every 20 people you approach, you might find one ‘yes’ amidst 19 ‘no’s’. But here’s the thing: those ‘no’s’ aren’t a reflection of your worth or potential. They’re simply a response to an idea.
It’s easy to take rejection personally, to let it shake your confidence and dampen your spirit. But remember, they’re not rejecting you—they’re rejecting an idea. And ideas, my friends, are a dime a dozen. The real value lies in the person behind the idea, in their ability to take that rejection, learn from it, and keep moving forward.
“Some will, some won’t. So what?! Someone’s waiting! Next!” This phrase isn’t just a mantra—it’s a mindset. It’s a way of looking at rejection not as a setback, but as a stepping stone. Every ‘no’ is just one step closer to the next ‘yes’. Every rejection is an opportunity to refine your pitch, to hone your approach, and to better your proposition.
Persistence is the name of the game. The road to success is paved with rejections. But with each rejection, you’re just getting closer to your goal. Ignore the ‘no’s’, focus on the ‘yes’s’, and you’ll find that you have more than enough to build a successful business.
Remember, the world of business isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s for those who can take a ‘no’, dust themselves off, and move on to the next opportunity with their heads held high. It’s for those who see rejection not as a roadblock, but as a stepping stone.
So, the next time you face a ‘no’, don’t let it get you down. Instead, say to yourself: “Some will, some won’t. So what?! Someone’s waiting! Next!” And then, move on to the next opportunity, because someone out there is waiting for exactly what you have to offer.
In the end, it’s not about how many times you’re knocked down—it’s about how many times you get back up. So, keep moving forward, keep chasing those ‘yes’s’, and remember: every ‘no’ is just one step closer to the next ‘yes’.
And that, my friends, is the secret to entrepreneurial success.
In the world of entrepreneurship, rejection is inevitable. But it’s how you handle that rejection that defines your journey. So, embrace the ‘no’s’, chase the ‘yes’s’, and remember: “Some will, some won’t. So what?! Someone’s waiting! Next!”
Hello ,Your article encapsulates the essence of resilience in entrepreneurship. Embracing rejection as an inevitable part of the journey is crucial for anyone venturing into the world of business. The mindset shift from taking rejection personally to seeing it as a stepping stone is empowering. It’s a reminder that success is not about avoiding rejection but about persisting despite it. Overall, a timely and inspiring message for aspiring entrepreneurs navigating the challenges of building their ventures. Well done.
hi you make an excellent point here. Rejection is a huge part of success in all areas of life. And yet it is very difficult and traumatizing for people. It messes with our self-image and our ego. So people are wired to avoid it. But having a good attitude towards it is essential if you want to make it in this world.
Great point made. A while back when we had to go door-to-door selling, we used to get even more no’s than we do on the internet, and only the toughest salesmen survived this tough trade. Nowadays more and more people are selling on the world wide Web and we still get a lot of no’s but we don’t take it as personally.
The key is not giving up and forging forward, as there will always be a much higher ratio of no’s to yes’s.
What is your best strategy for getting one’s mindset right for this tough selling game?
Hi Michel, thanks for commenting. To answer your question, by staying focused on the main goal and reminding myself, why I started.
Hi,
Your piece fervently emphasizes the importance of accepting rejection when embarking on an entrepreneurial path. It highlights the necessity of embracing a different viewpoint that views rejection as a necessary step toward success instead of indicating one’s inadequacy. The emphasis on persistence, learning from rejection, and the mantra “Some will, some won’t. So what?! Someone’s waiting! Next!” is a powerful motivator. It pushes us to consider how we handle rejection and asks important questions like, “How can we build resilience and see every no as a path to our next yes?” This viewpoint is helpful for anyone navigating the ups and downs of pursuing their goals, not just budding entrepreneurs. And I was wondering, what strategies have you found most effective in building resilience against rejection?
Embracing rejection is crucial for entrepreneurs, as it’s a common part of the business journey. The key mantra, “Some will, some won’t. So what?! Someone’s waiting! Next!” embodies a successful mindset. This perspective transforms rejection from a personal setback into a step toward success. Entrepreneurs face many ‘no’s, but these aren’t reflections of their worth but rather responses to an idea. Persistence, learning from rejection, and moving forward with confidence are essential. Every ‘no’ brings you closer to a ‘yes’, highlighting the importance of resilience and the ability to see rejection as a stepping stone, not a roadblock.
I love this perspective! I failed my first couple of websites, but I’m grateful for the experience as I’ve now been able to approach my new website with more knowledge and experience which has lead to far quicker progress than in the past.
As I often like to say “you can’t fail unless you quit!” As long as you get up and try again you will eventually achieve success.
Thank you for sharing this! I enjoyed reading it.
